My audience will be irresistibly drawn into deep appreciation for these new works through the commentary of the composers and my demonstration.
The Fazioli concert grand on which I will play provides me with all the colour, the clarity of tone and robustness required of the music to bring them to life. It is truly a beautiful instrument.
A most exciting aspect of the first Sonata Project concert is the convergence of a variety of leading Australian creative minds. I have a most visionary and enterprising support team that is overseeing the concert’s development and ensuring its success. Together, we will recreate an atmosphere of joy and excitement for the future of music and live performance that people experienced in the salon concerts of the romantic-composer pianists of the past.
And finally, I have recorded all these works to a CD called Crossing Boundaries. It is produced by Tall Poppies and will be launched on the night! Thank you to Peter Rejto, my engineer and Belinda Webster, my producer.
